PART 1: THE BASICS

1. What is your full name?
Jackson Michael Ellis.

2. Where and when were you born?
Uh, the future site of Des Moines I guess. I'm not really sure.

3. Who are/were your parents? Did/do they have occupations?
Well, everyone said my mom was a Sioux or something, and I don't know who my dad was but I guess it could be Francis. Then Alfred adopted me soooo... I don't know really.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I know Lou is my older brother and he's pretty awesome. I don't know if I have any other siblings, seeing as how I don't leave my house very often.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom?
In HQ if you want to get technical, and that's with everyone. Before, I lived outside of Des Moines on a huge farm...by myself.

6. What is your occupation?
Farmer and state.

7. Write a full physical description of the character. (Third Person)
Tall, lanky (but kinda muscular, ashy blond, tan, brown eyes, blahblahblah.

8. To which social class do you belong?
Middle class/working class.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, disabilities, or other physical weaknesses?
I'm not a very good swimmer if that counts for anything.

10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed.

11. What does your voice sound like?

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
"Well", "alright", "okay", "I think"

13. What do you have in your pockets?
Some money, a receipt for a rake, a hair tie I'm never gonna use...

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
I've been told my accent "fluctuates" between northern and southern, I end some conversations by being awkward, I have to fix peoples' jacket collars if they're up, and I apparently talk about corn a lot.

PART 2: GROWING UP

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
I don't remember very much of it but it was peaceful from what I can recall.

16. What is your earliest memory?
Running through a wheat field with someone I think was my mom. I was pretty little then.


17. How much schooling have you had?
All the way up to college. I'm not stupid, I insist.

18. Did you enjoy school?
Yeah, it was fine. There wasn't any defining moments in it.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
From my mom's friends. They taught me how to farm and all that business. Alfred taught me everything else, like things about machinery.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
I looked up to Alfred for awhile because he's so optimistic. Then I found out what he did to my mom and her friends and relatives. I haven't really been so close to him since.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
I didn't really talk to anyone when I was growing up. I was alone mostly.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A farmer. I got my wish.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
I was good at sharpening rocks and figuring out how to make work-related objects better somehow. Other than that, I loved running and singing or just trying to make music somehow.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
Well, I've always been pretty quiet but I was much more excitable then, and I've been told I was quite a wild child for a long time.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
No way. No one knew who I was.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
I... Uh... -serious blush ensues- Never got kissed before...

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Gah... You're torturing me here.

PART 3: PAST INFLUENCES

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Definitely joining the Union. That was huge for me. I got a real family and everything seemed to settle down.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?
Alfred and Francis.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Discovering ethanol.

32. What is your greatest regret?
Not getting to know my mom better.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Well, I've slaughtered a lot of animals... And I've had to kill people in wars.

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
Nah, I've been pretty decent.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
During the Civil War. I didn't know how close it would get to me.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
I think I drank away whatever memory of that I have.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
To bring my mother back so I could get to know her.

38. What is your best memory?
Joining the Union. It was amazing.

39. What is your worst memory?
The floods... Definitely the floods. -shudders-

PART 4: BELIEFS AND OPINIONS

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I like to think I'm an optimist.

41. What is your greatest fear?
Floods. I believe it rivals on pure phobia. They terrify me.

42. What are your religious views?
I'm pretty open to anything. We're all kind of Protestant but I'm not very religious at all.

43. What are your political views?
I'm mostly liberal and have been for quite a while.

44. What are your views on sex?
I have no idea what to think. o___o

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
I think it's horrible. I've been able to do it in the past but I've always loathed it.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Genocide.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I wouldn't know. I've heard it happens to people.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
Hard work and bravery.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self )
I don't tell people what I think for the most part unless they ask.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
Not too terribly much. I've always been open to minorities and have helped along in suffragist movements.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
I guess I'm kind of a pushover so I don't know to what limit I would go to.

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
My people, my family, my close friends, and for the Union's safety and freedom.

PART 5: RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)?
I always try to be polite and offer to help if they need anything. Other than that, I keep myself at a distance so I don't get too involved. I've learned to keep my nose out of other peoples' business.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
I guess Alfred since he raised me and all. Other than that, I don't really know anyone else who has been close to me.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Right now, I'd have to say Will since he's been so stinkin' nice to me.

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Will, (I hope) Kaycee... I dunno. I don't know many people yet.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other?
-sighs- No.

58. Have you ever been in love?
I've never met anyone I could have been in love with.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
I'm not sure yet but I think someone polite, who is capable of hard work, and who is intelligent.

60. How close are you to your family?
Not really close. :/

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
Nope. I'd like to someday.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Maybe my brother or some of my friends, and maybe Alfred.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
I'd like to think Alfred would help.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
Sheesh, I don't know.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Uh, no one. I haven't had much of reason to not like anyone. At least, I think so.

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I only argue with people when it goes directly into my opinions. I like debating.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
Ick, no.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
Small groups. Large groups make me nervous (unless I can drink because then I just don't care).

69. Do you care what others think of you?
Not really.

PART 6: LIKES AND DISLIKES

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
Reading, playing the guitar, writing, tinkering with things.

71. What is your most treasured possession?
My arrowhead necklace because it's the only thing my mom gave me.

72. What is your favorite color?
Green, definitely green.

73. What is your favorite food?
CORN! (Duh.)

74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
It may sound boring, but I like books on theology. Reading on other cultural beliefs is really interesting to me.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
Live music, making music, watching movies, reading, and bonfires.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I drink socially because it's relaxing and I smoke sometimes when I'm anxious. I don't really have a dependency on either so it would be easy to quit.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Well, I stay on the farm until around ten and then I go in, watch a movie or two, read for an hour, and then sleep.

78. What makes you laugh?
Drunken antics. That's self-explanatory.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
Watching people die, animals harmed (I slaughter my farm animals as humanely as possible), seeing people treated inhumanely, and pollution.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
Hey, I'd get a lot more work done!

81. How do you deal with stress?
Usually I read or listen to music to get it to go away.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I like planning things out.

83. What are your pet peeves?
Pollution, public indecency, and ignorance.

PART 7: SELF-IMAGE AND ETC.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you.
I get up, I eat breakfast (a huge one), I do a few hours of work, I go back inside and relax until I have to repeat it the next day. (This goes for life in HQ too.)

85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
I'm...a hard worker?

86. What is your greatest weakness?
I think I might be too passive. I let people control me a lot.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd try to be more social.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Waaay too introverted.

89. Are you generally organized or messy?
Organized.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
I'm good at farming, writing, and making music. I'm bad at socializing, swimming, and color-coordinating.

91. Do you like yourself?
I guess so.

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
I like to try new things and broaden my horizons as much as I can.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
To start a family.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I have nooo idea. Probably still farming no matter what I do.

95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
Quietly and painlessly.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
I'd talk to all my friends, I'd make sure my farm was in good hands, and I would try to get a good nap in.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
Ohhh, farming as usual.

98. What three words best describe your personality?
Quiet, workaholic, (hopefully) generous.

99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
I can't say. :p

100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character?
Oh speak up already! You have opinions and you should say them you silly man! >_<

I remember what ya was like when you was little, bro. You was always pretty quite, except for that time we fought about the honey. We ended up gettin' drunk and shooting a side of venison instead of each other. Now THAT was what I call a war!

He laughs loudly, but then gets deadly serious and nods his head.

I hear ya about the floods though. Oh, man back in 1844...and 1904...and again in 93...yikes, that one was a whopper!
